Our Programmes
STEAM Academy CIC delivers inclusive, high-quality coding and STEAM education programmes for children aged 7–14. Our work focuses on increasing access to digital skills, building confidence, and supporting children who may not thrive in traditional learning environments.
We work with schools, families, community organisations and funders to deliver meaningful, impactful learning opportunities.
PROGRAMME 1
After-School Coding Clubs
Who it’s for:
Children aged 7–14, delivered in schools and community settings.
What children learn:
- Coding fundamentals using Scratch and Python
- Logical thinking and problem-solving
- Creativity through games and digital projects
Outcomes:
- Increased confidence and engagement
- Improved digital literacy
- Stronger teamwork and communication skills
Delivery:
Weekly after-school sessions delivered by experienced tutors.

PROGRAMME 2
Holiday STEAM Labs
Who it’s for:
Children aged 7–14 during school holidays.
What children learn:
- Hands-on STEAM activities
- Robotics, electronics and creative technology
- Real-world problem solving
Outcomes:
- Reduced learning loss during holidays
- Increased curiosity and motivation
- Positive social interaction and confidence
Delivery:
Structured multi-day holiday programmes delivered in community venues.

Ideal for holiday activity funding (HAF-style programmes)
PROGRAMME 3
Homework & SATs Support
Who it’s for:
Primary-aged children requiring additional academic support.
What children learn:
- Core literacy and numeracy skills
- Study skills and confidence-building techniques
- Exam preparation strategies
Outcomes:
- Improved academic confidence
- Better engagement with learning
- Reduced anxiety around assessments
Delivery:
Small-group sessions in supportive, structured environments.

PROGRAMME 4
Inclusive Digital Skills Programme
Who it’s for:
Children who are neurodiverse or require additional learning support.
What children learn:
- Coding and digital skills taught accessibly

Outcomes:
- Greater inclusion and participation
- Increased confidence and independence
- Improved engagement in learning
Delivery:
Adapted sessions informed by lived experience of dyslexia and neurodiversity.

Our Approach
STEAM Academy CIC is inclusive by design. Staff, including leadership, have lived experience of dyslexia and neurodiversity, shaping our accessible, child-centred approach to learning.
Our programmes are designed to:
- Remove barriers to participation
- Build confidence before complexity
- Support wellbeing alongside skills development
We work closely with partners to ensure programmes respond to local needs and deliver measurable impact.
